Walton

Hi All,

I'm looking for as much information as possible on my paternal grandfather. His name was William Walton.  Sadly I didn't even know that fact 'til the other day when I managed to find my Grandmother's Divorce papers through the National Archives.   I was hoping that it would have included more information on him such as a date of birth but unfortunetly the only information I was able to obtain from the document was that at the time of the divorce in which he was co-respondant in 1928, he was living at 10 Cliffe Street Dewsbury, (Now considered part of Batley).

I know that census records released only take us to 1911 and ancestry.co.uk has no ability to search them, the 1921 census is unavailable and there's no saying that he even lived there then.

My family seem to think that he was in the Green Howard's during WW1 and moved to Kent in the late 20's early '30's.

Any advise on how to search historic electoral roles going back to the '20's?
