Oliver Hannegan Butcher in Donegal
« on: Tuesday 05 January 10 18:17 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for any info about my Irish family, my great great grandmother was born Mary Ann Mcginnes, and her mother was Bethia Hannegan whos father was Oliver hannegan a Butcher in Donegal.
Bethias mothers maiden name was Mary Gray.
Bethia married James Mcginnes from Derry who was a soldier-later to become a Chelsea Pensioner.
Mary Ann married my great great grandfather Robert Heron in Dundee Scotland in 1849 she died here in 1895 aged 71 meaning she was born propably Donegal approx 1824.

Happy new year to all Celtic cousins from Scotland.

It looks as if Oliver may have come from Taughboyne Parish, according to the Flax lists.
