thanks Omega, i will get Martyn to order the certificate to get back another generation (and i haven't forgotten about you), i have been trying to help Martyn for a few years, Suz finally got us on the right track for his family, he is pretty excited and is more than willing to order what certificates are necessary to unravel his moon puzzle,

do you think this is William/Mary in this 1861c. please?
RG09 piece 567 folio28 page 19 23 Tower Street Eastbourne, William head married age 40 b. 1821 bricklayers labourer b. heathfield Sussex with

wife Mary wife married female age 36 b. 1825 1825 b. little horested Sussex

with son Charles age 7 b. 1854 scholar b. chiddingly, Sussex ( this fits with our Charles) then

Richard son age 4 b. 1857 scholar b. chiddingly, Sussex and

Philadelphia c their daughter age 6 month b. 1861 chiddingly

I`ve had a nose around.

Found Mary on the 1841 with Mum,Dad & siblings,living Rectory Cottage,Little Horsted

HO107  1118 2/8  11.

I think the 1861 could be right ,will look at the 1851 & get back to you.

There sure are loads of William Moon`s no wonder you get confused.

Hi Again

On the 1851 living Clocksmiths Cottage,Chiddingly

William born Heathfield,Mary Little Horsted & Children Mary Jane & William born Chiddingley.

I notice on the 1861 the daughter is named Philadelphia.This was Mary`s Mums Name !!!!!!!!!!!! If i`ve got it right.

yes, we are thinking Martyn is part of our Moon's, he is ordering the moon/teague marriage certificate so we will be back another generation,

thanks for finding it, do you have that William moon and Mary teagues on your tree, i don't have it, i don't know what line of moon's this is yet,

i am going to try to look at the censuses more also, i agree with you that the censuses that you have above is Martyn's family

Apart from your line i hav`nt researched any  other branches yet.

I looked on SFHG database for William,born Heathfield but his not there.
There are SSSOOOOOOOOO many  everywhere,i think we need to wait for the marriage cert to get Dads name.

In the mean time i will keep looking.

i was trying to find william (married to mary ann teagues) in 1841 c., and the only 1 which may fit is  William who is 20 born 1821 helping on the fraizeland farm, guestling, hastings HO107 1106 10/10 13, he may be a son or a relative

and if this james on this census is his brother then i think the father william on this census is the william who married sarah fox , but we have to wait til the certificate comes in..

I looked at the 1841 Census.

If the William had married a Sarah Fox,looking on the SMI  extra info,
they married in Brighton

24th Sept 1793.
William bach 21+ Yeo from Rotherfield
Sarah 20+ WCOF from Buxted.

We really need info from marriage cert to be sure.

Sarah is`nt in my tree.I hav`nt as yet found any Moons from Rotherfield only Mayfield.

Omega, you are helping me, just reading what i write you can look at it and look in different areas such as the smi, the sarah fox marriage is 1 generation out, ha! was gettiny sleepy, thanks so much! martyn has ordered the certificate, we will have to wait,

i cant find Charles 1854 in the 1881 c. or 1891c., i found Annie e, his wife in 1891 c. but not in 1881 c. (or her parents) , can anyone out there find them please,

and their children are Ruth born 1899 died?, married?, rose born polegate 1904 but cant locate BMD, Charles born 1907 m. 1928 and died 1970 so we have his info,,  Winifred b 1910 but like Ruth we don't have her marriage or death and Fred which we all have his BMD, 1914 1954 and 1979, can anyone find any of this info. please?
