Hi,
I'm hoping some of the more experienced researchers can help me with the following:
I have found 2 (or really 4) marriage records on LDS and SP:
Thomas Page and Jean Skinner
23 APR 1713 - Strathmiglo, Fife
23 APR 1715 - Strathmiglo, Fife
28 JUN 1718 - Auchtermuchty, Fife
These state that Jean Skinner lived in the Parish of Strathmiglo and Thomas Page lived in Parish of Auchtermuchty.
Thomas Peage and Jean Lumsdale
10 JUN 1727 - Strathmiglo - again, Thomas is from Auchtermuchty and Jean from Strathmiglo.
Thomas Page and Jean Skinner had 2 children
Elizabeth Page b 17 Nov 1721, Auchtermuchty, Fife
James Page b 08 Dec 1723, Auchtermuchty, Fife
This doesn't mean that they didn't have more children (Auchtermuchty ministers didn't seem that good at keeping records), but it's all I can find.
Thomas Peage and Jean Lumsdean had 7 Children (all born in Auchtermuchty)
Agnes born 11 Aug 1728
Thomas b 10 Oct 1731
William b 08 Nov 1733
Jean b 10 Jan 1736
John b 21 May 1738
George b 29 Nov 1741
John Page b15 Jul 1744
All birth records use the PAGE spelling and depending on which record your looking at Jean is either LUMSDEAN/LUMSDALE or LUMSDEN.
My direct line goes to Thomas Page and Jean Lumsden
My question is this - on SP these are the oldest 2 PAGE marriages I can find in Auchtermuchty, what are the chances that Jean Skinner died and Thomas Page re-married Jean Lumsdean?
I ask because if this is a good possibility then I can link all Pages to Thomas in Auchtermuchty through the years to early 1800’s.
Just in addition to this
The family have a strong tradition of using the old Scottish naming pattern, I'm amazed at how may George, Williams and Thomas's there are.
The only births that I can find for a Thomas Page in Scotland are as follows:
Thomas PAIGE b 15 Jan 1691 Dundee, Angus to Jas Paige and Marg Fleeming, or
Thomas Page b 19 Nov 1704 to David Peage and Katherine Paterson.
I know that he may have been born in England or somewhere but I would so like this not to be so as I would love to do all the 'social history research' here

Am I wishful thinking?
Thanks
Heather
