i am doing research into the origins and spread of the surname WHITTER.I have noticed that there seems to be a dominant family in the Devon area which is possibly linked with the name in London.
Can anyone tell me the origins of the WHITTER family name in Devon ? Did they descend from that area or did they come from elsewhere ?
