Birth - Woodford Wells, Essex *COMPLETED WITH THANKS*

I am trying to find the birth and parents of George York(e) born about 1783 Woodford Wells, Essex. He married Sarah Warren (not sure what year). If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated.

Hi,

I expect you have found him in the 1841/51/61 census. In 1861 he was a Widower living in a Workhouse, but in 1851 there were three children of the marriage.

Where did you get Sarahs maiden name from?
Was it from the Birth Cert of Henry born abt 1840?

I would think that Sarah is a second wife from the age differences of her and George + gap in childrens ages on 1851 Census;

Thomas 1837
Henry 1840

There are possible birth reg on Freebmd for Thomas Sept 1837 and Henry March 1841 in West Ham.

I cant find George Snr and Jnr conclusively in 1841 Census. There is 1 George with wife Sarah abt same age as him. Could this one have died and he remarried another Sarah?

Sarah's surname was from Henry's birth cert.  I cannot find either Sarah Warren's birth or George York's birth (They were both born around 1783). I believe Sarah was born in Edmonbyers and George in Woodford, Essex but I cannot find any confirmation of this or their marriage.

Hi,
On the 1851 census it says Sarah was born in 1802 in Edmonton, Middx. On findmypast there is a baptism for a Sarah Warren 10/6/1802 -Father John who was a Waterman, and Mother Sarah. She was 11 days old when she was baptised, so born 30 th May 1802. Baptism was at St Dunstan in Stepney High Street.
