I now have the Will of Rosetta Buskin and all the names in there tell me that it was indeed my Rebecca Mason who married Rosetta's brother William.  I still have to find Rebecca's birth details but with your help feel well on the way to solving that soon. Thank you again.

Well at least it proves the conection and presumably gives you a lot more information than just Rebecca's baptism alone would have done. That's the beauty of wills particularly by those left by unmarried members of the extended family.

I am just trying to find out more about the family line and have gotten as far back as William Buskin born 1749 who married a Sarah Doxsey. I think his father was a William Buskin born in 1717 and married to a Mary Parsons. Who was a son of a John Buskin born in 1695 married to a Mary ?. I just don't have too much to support the line past William Buskin of 1749.

Basically I am just trying to track the family as far back as I can. No real reason other than to see where it goes.

The Buskin's that I decend from are William Buskin 1775 to 1806, Henry Godfred Buskin 1803 to ?, Alexander Frank Buskin 1849 to 1907, Alexander Frank Buskin 1889 to 1915, Frank S. A. Buskin  1915 to 1983 and John Buskin 1948 to 2007.

I am not sure where or if you are linked to the Buskin Family, but any assistance you can give is much appreciated.

My link to the Buskins is a more tenuous one than yours but I have found them to be an interesting family.

William Buskin married Sarah Doxsey  and her sister Ann married William Mason ( son of Thomas
Mason & Rebecca Hunt) - Thomas being my 6 x Gt.Grandfather.

Sarah's son William married Rebecca - daughter of Sarah's sister Ann and therefore they were first
cousins.

I have many snippets I have jotted down through the years about the Buskins  - for instance Markham Buskin ( son of Henry Godfred Buskin) being an indigo planter in India. However, I have not ventured back past William Buskin - 1749.

Looking through my papers I have an inventory of all the goods and chattels left by Rebecca Buskin in her shop in Homerton. Grandmother Sarah seems to have taken over care of the children.  I would be happy to send you a copy of this when we are able to send a personal message and answer any questions you may have.
