Thoms 1922 gives Morland Place off Talbot S ... in 1922 nos 4-6 were demolished. it was between  Mabbot St and Gardiner st.

looking at the current Dublin Map, I think it's off the South side of the St - perhaps where Moland Place is now.

Apologies for my earlier post which was hurried.

I had a look on Shanes 1904 index at http://roots.swilson.info/1904page5.html and there's no mention of Moreland Place.

From the location given in Eadaoin's post it seems to be the street running from Mecklinburgh Street Lower (now Railway Place) to Frenchmans Lane on the 1885 map at http://roots.swilson.info/dublin1885/Dublin1885.html

On Google Maps http://maps.google.com/, as Eadaoin says, Moland Pl. (note spelling) is on the south side of Talbot St and if you look at the OSI map http://ims0.osiemaps.ie/website/publicviewer/main.aspx#V1,716264,734911,8

the north side is now called Mabbott Lane. Unfortunately the area seems to be re-developed.

Mapreading is not one of my better skills and more experienced RootsChatters might be more helpful.

Dara.

The street is referred to as Moland Place in 1904, 1894, 1884 etc - however between  1914 and the 1960s the same street is listed as Morland place.  It's listed as Moland Place on the 1911 census. Maybe people pronounced the address with the 'r', and for a time the official name changed to match this ?  The current name of the street is Moland Place -

following on from the location details that Dara gave .. I found Moland Place off Talbot Street marked on a c1850 map, that I dont have a scan of at that map at the moment. I've marked the location on the 1885 map - see extract below.

Thanks so much to everyone for your information, it has really helped a lot. Unfortunatley my family had moved by 1911 census so time for me to check out the 1901.
