BOLTONS in Suffolk
« on: Wednesday 23 December 09 17:41 GMT (UK) »
Just wondering if anyone reading this forum has an interest in researching ancestors with the surname of Bolton in Suffolk.

I can clearly see my great grandfather George Bolton living in Ipswich on the 1901 and 1911 cencus but despite obtaining numerous certificates i've not been able to trace him back on the earlier cencus returns.

On the 1901 and 1911 cencus he states that he was born in Ipswich but the nearest match i can find is a George Bolton living in Woolpit on the 1871 cencus but can't prove this is correct because of conflicting information on certificates, i've hit a brick wall with this line.

Its a long shot but perhaps someone has some information on the Boltons in Suffolk.

Ian Bolton

Do you have his marriage cert, and if so what does it say for fathers name and occupation?

Thanks to those helping.

Witnesses are a Emily Smith and a Robert Sergeant.

I believe Robert Sergeant married Jessie Garrard who was George Boltons Wifes sister.

Can this help??

Thanks
Ian
