CAREY Family: Passengers on which 1848/9 ship?

I'm having difficulties locating the CAREY Family that arrived by ship in New York in 1848/9 from Ireland .

Members travelling together would possibly include:

Father:  Matthew Carey
Mother:  ?
Son:  Nicholas Carey, born May 1832  (approx. 16 years of age)
Son:  Hugh Carey
Daughter(s):  ?

(1900 Montana Census indicates Nicholas immigrated in 1849, and a family account says his family immigration was in 1848 to New York).

Can anyone point me in the direction of the ship name and/or passenger list?
