WW2 Soldier help!

Hi everyone, hoping this one will be easier then my other posts.

Hoping someone can help me finf some information on a WW2 soldier- his name was Frances George Thomas Anstey, he was a tank Sgt, we know he was 8th army and was in africa and italy.He was also from the Devon area i think Exeter. :)

Any help would be great thanks.

WW2 records are not in the public domain and thus the only way* of getting any info is by applying for his service records**. But one has to be NoK to do so.

* unless they were an officer, a casualty or won a gallantry award, in which case one can try the London Gazette etc. As he wasn't an officer nor a casualty the LG/CWGC aren't of any help
