Clifford Street Watford

Hi Everyone


Can anyone help me please i got my grandads death cert through today and it tells  me at time of death he lived in Clifford Street Watford . Now Ive googled it and looked on google earth and it takes me to London when iI know my Grandparents lived in Watford ... Is it still there ? we are talking 1958 now ,  Old street map might help . Just curious as to whereabout it is or was ..

Clifford Street Watford  no longer exists.    It is now the Harlequin Shopping Centre.

Thanks for getting back to me , Yes i know where this shopping center is  , didnt realise Clifford Street was slow into town .

The information regarding the Harlequin is correct.

A circa 1940 map is available on the website link below - click on the bottom left hand side of the map and you will see Cliiford Street just above Watford High Street Station.

Is that before the shopping center went up ? I was living in Berkhamsted when it was built but cant remember when that was ..... if you want you can email it to me ?
