Hello again Paul. This part of our tree is very confusing. It seems that the Harvat (all spelling variations) families in this small area each had numerous children. Each of the families, in each generation, named their children the same! So there are multiple James, Thomas, Edward, William, etc. Harvats from Bewdley that are brothers, cousins, uncles, fathers. Ironically, this continued through my lineage - my father had brothers named Daniel, James, Edward, and Thomas!
It is my understanding that the James Harvat (our gr, gr, grandfather)(who married to Caroline Maria Knowles) was born around 1820 and died in 1905 (as mentioned by robsdad). Children with them as listed on the 1861 census were Ann (10), James (9 *your gr, grandfather), William (5), and Thomas (3). Children with them as listed on the 1881 census were Thomas (22), Charles (19), Henry (15), and Daniel (13 *my gr, grandfather).
Louisa Harvoutt appears in the England and Wales Marriage Index, 1916-2005 as marrying George Pettit in the Oct-Nov-Dec 1917 time period in Stourbridge, Worcestershire.
Louisa Harvoutt (7) also appears on the 1901 census with her siblings Sarah A (15), Jun (probably Jim) (13), Lizzie (11), Daisy (5), and Jack (2). Their parents were James (50 *your gr, grandfather) and Mary A (46).
Do the puzzle pieces fit? I'm sure you found a number of Louisa Harvat / Harvatt / Harvett / Harvoutt in your searches as well...the common names make research a chore! hehe
Hope this helps.
Greg
