Hi pauljj,
Looks like James Harvoutt snr. was married to my 2xGt Grandmother and in 1891 lived with his son at 16 Cottage St Brierley Hill.
If this is one and the same he was christened in Rock Worcs. 18.12.1821 father William mother Elizabeth.
Surname then was Harvatt but there were a few different spellings between then and 1905 his death.
Does this ring any bells ?
regards

Hi,
James snr 1921, was father to James, [ There was also a son  born James,
but i think he changed it to Jim] Father to Louisa, my gran,   my mothers mom,      who had two brothers and one sister,    also Louisa married again to a guy called Pettit,   Don't know his first name yet [ working on that] and had at least 2 more children, Jimmy and Edward, Have many more names from register you may be interested in,
 Keep in Touch ,

Hi pauljj,
Unfortunately my line goes though a son that Caroline Maria Knowles had prior to her marriage to James Harvett in 1848 at Rock Worcs. The son Joseph Knowles father unknown
spent much of his youth with his uncle and both were butchers in Brierley Hill.
I have really no useful info. on the Harvett ( Harvoutt ) line other than the census details to 1901 which I assume you already have.
