if of interest i have the link of these McLarens , back to Lochearnhead.

Helen MCGREGOR, b NOV 1850 in Muthill, Perthshire, Scotland.  No birth registration has been found for her.  She was found residing with her parents in 1851 and not in 1861.   She married on 22 MAR 1870 in Muthill, Perthshire, Scotland to Archibald MCLAREN.

1.   Peter MCLAREN, b 1870 in Muthill, Perthshire, Scotland.
2.   Elizabeth MCLAREN, b 1872 in Hamilton, Lanark, Scotland.
3.   Lillias MCLAREN, b 1873 in Hamilton, Lanark, Scotland

Archibald McLaren was the son of Peter McLaren (died October 29th 1869 , Dochlewan) and Lillias McNeil (died 25th Feb 1867 at Dochlewan , Ardoch , Muthill).

on Peter's death certificate of 1869 , his father is Archibald McLaren , the tailor , and Margaret McDonald ? this is incorrect , should be Margaret King.

on the 1851 census Peter is 35 and from Lochearnhead. Archibald McLaren was the tailor at Lochearnhead at Easter Auchraw , born in 1761 , marries Margaret King , and dies sometime in the 1840's , as he is listed on the 1841 census at Easter Auchraw , age 79.

Reason i can confirm Archibald , is the son of Peter McLaren , is the will of his aunt Janet McLaren of Easter Auchraw , residing at Ardveich on her death in 1892 , it lists them all .
