Hi Everyone,

On one of the census' i have found that one of my ancestors was Born at Sea, can anyone point me in the right direction to find this information?

findmypast has some births at sea 1854-1887

Thanks, but i just realised that the birth is 1852 so i just miss it!!

They might possibly fit into the Marine Births on FindMyPast  :-\  They go back to 1837...

Especially looking for - Sealey, Rogers, Cannings, Box, Sheppard in Wiltshire; Virgin, Slade, Abbott, Saint, Harper, Silverthorn in Somerset; and Virgin, Tarr, Beer in Devon

And most especially the origins of William Cannings,  a Baptist, born abt 1791 in Broughton Gifford, Wiltshire

I haven't been able to find out any further information anywhere so unfortunately I have no idea where he travelled from or what the ship was called!!

Why not give us a name and as much info as you know,date etc and perhaps someone will be able to find the person's birth reg  ;D
