Where is Merrystone in Coatbridge?

Hi
One of my husband's GG grandparents children died in infancy in 1855. The death record on SP says he was born in Merrystone, Coatbridge. We know where Coatbridge is but does anyone know where Merrystone is please?

Merryston, a village, in the parish of Old Monkland, forming part of the late quoad sacra parish of Gartsherrie, Middle ward of the county of Lanark, 2 1/2 miles (W. by S.) from Airdrie ; containing 676 inhabitants. It is situated a short distance north of the high road from Airdrie to Glasgow, and on the banks of the Monkland canal ; and is one of the numerous villages whose increasing population is engaged in the mines and manufactures of this rich mineral district.

There was a group of houses built for the Ironworkers at Summerlee Ironworks called Merryston Square. It was adjacent to the works approx. where Flloyd Street and Corsewall Street are today. It was built in the shape of a square

Thanks so much Cammy and Sancti - this should get OH's brain cells working. He knows the general area of Coatbridge so I can see him dragging me to see Flloyd and Corsewall Streets next time we make the long trip to Scotland to visit his relatives.
