Maguires of Fermanagh?

Well that's an enormous subject isn't it?
My great grandfather James Maguire's cemetery record shows that he came from Enniskillen.  He was born in February of 1826 or 1828 to Thomas and Lucy (nee Patterson) Maguire.  Thomas and Lucy were married in the C of I Diocese of Clogher in 1820.
The family, Thomas, and Lucy,children Margaret, Mary Ann, James, John, and Susan emigrated in July of 1847 out of Londonderry aboard the Superior.  Their ticket said their residence before embarkation was Blacklion.  Lucy's brother William also came on the same ticket.
So where were they from really, Fermanagh or Cavan?
I also found a trace of a William and a Lucy Patterson, brother and sister, in Sligo.
Can anyone shed any more light on Thomas and Lucy?  Like where in the huge Diocese of Clogher they were actually married?
Like who their parents were?
Thomas lived from 1782 to 1867, dying in Toronto Canada, and Lucy lived from 1806 to 1875, and is also buried in Toronto.
If anybody needs help with graveyards in the Yukon, I'll be glad to help out.

Colm,I'm still not sure how this system works. All I've read is your short reply. Apparently I have to post three messages before I qualify to use the PM facility?? In the meantime I'll just add that I have a copy of my Great-Great Grandfther's (i.e. William's) marriage cert. He and Anne were married in Rossorry Parish Church (Rossorry is now a suburb of Enniskillen) on 29 Dec.1845. Father's name is given as Thomas Maguire and a witness is William Maguire Senior.I also have a record of William's sister May who never married. Her dates are 1821 to 11 March 1902. There seems to be a strong link between the Maguires of "back then" and Rossorry C of I,Old and New. There are a number of early 18th Cent Maguire burials in the Old Rossory graveyard,and the seven sons + one daughter of William and Anne were all baptised in the New Rossossy Church. More in due course. Are you going to Enniskillen? Do I have lots of relatives in Canada? Regards,Eamag

I'm still feeling my way around this site myself.  (In addition to using an unfamiliar laptop)
Until now I had no trace of a William, but as I also have no birthdates for Margaret and Mary Ann, a William from 1824 certainly fits.
So William and Anne managed to say in Ireland.  From your research do the other siblings that I listed fit?  If so, your great great grandfather's brother James (my line) had five or six kids in Canada, so indirectly, yes you have plenty of relatives there.
We're headed for Enniskillen in a day or two.
Next posting I promise to have my bare bones travelling research papers in the same room as the internet link.
