and look at the third picture on this site which includes a man named Martin Classick.  Maybe you can contact this parish to contact this man.  It looks like a great possibility to finding your answer!!  Let me know if you find out anything that matches!

Also, were the records from the court in Union Co, Liberty, IN, for the Classicks or the Perkins?  Did they say their place of birth?

Linda I am searching for your email.  Yes, their papers were their intent to become citizens of the US in 1854.  They said they arrived in Indiana in November of 1850.  They came to the US in 1847 and said they were from county Sligo. They could not read nor write and only made their X.  I have little else to go on.

House 8 in Cloonfane (Kilbeagh, Mayo).

Michael Clossick died aged 71 in 1916.
His widow Bridget was the informant.

Thanks for all of you Clossick information!   I only know that My ggrandmother came from County Mayo in 1850 to the states.  She was traveling with her sister-in-law Mary and her children Michael, Mary and Thomas, infant.  They would end up in Terre Haute, Indiana.  All the names you cited are the exact same names in the family over here except they spelled it Classick.  On her death certificate in 1906 they said her father was Dominic and her mother Bridget Newman.  Since none of them could read or write it makes it tough.  Oh, she married a Francis Perkins from County Sligo in Cinciniatti Ohio in 1852.  All I know for now, but always hoping to find a link!
