Hi ,Elizabeth Jane Knight ,my grand mother was born in 1879,Burray,and stayed at Viewforth with her family,any idea what school she would have attended,she left the Island in about 1895,thanks in anticipation.

There is an old school just down the hill from Viewforth less than half a mile away, not sure what its called though, I,ll try to find out tomorrow.
Dont know if you know anything about Viewforth but you can find it in Wikipedia, its a nice big house overlooking Echnaloch Bay and Scapa Flow, there is a lovely fossil museum and cafe there. ( orkney fossil and vintage centre )

Thanks for that AKC,no I don't know to much about Viewforth,I will have a look at wikipedia and see what I can learn.
