Hello

I am new here and I know it is over a year since your last post so here is hoping I think I am related to the Truefitt family through the marriage of Anne Truefitt 1790 who married a James Ward 1786 both born in Staithes.

Anne parents where William who was born in 1750 and born in Staithes and Elanor Burton born 1752. Williams father was Issaac who was also born in Staithes in 1724.

Hi Karen,

Yes indeed, Ann would appear to be Isaac Truefitt's sister. I don't know much more other than she married James Ward on 8th December 1811 in Hinderwell and they ended up in York St Giles according to the 1851 Census.

Anyway, do let me know more!

I am a descendant of Ellen Truefitt from Staithes and John Edward Harwood they would be my Great Grandparents.
I am Ellen Truefitts youngest son Valentine Claude Harwoods, Granddaughter.

I do the ancestry in our family so would love to have any copies of birth and marriage certificates you might have.

Hello, I hope someone reads this  :) I've just started doing my tree, Walter Truefitt, youngest son of Isaac Alfred and Jane Bullamore, was my great grandad. I've got stuck on Isaac Truefitt, Father of William Truefitt ( born 1750 ) is Mary Lawson his wife and father to his children?  Am stuck until I can get to the records office  :) Thank you
