Looking for information about Jeremiah and Mary McGuire mainly death dates but any information is welcomed.
Jeremiah’s death was certainly before 1904.
Jeremiah was born about 1831 and from some MN records was probably born in Dublin but eventually sailing out of Waterford where he settled
He was married to a Mary Taylor and probably had at least two children before moving to Waterford, Jeremiah (jnr) also a sailor and Mary believed to have emigrated to the USA.
My grandfather Hugh was born in 1864 in Stephen Street and my grandmother Mary Ellen Walsh in the Old Yellow Road in 1865. There was also another brother Richard.
It is possible that Jeremiah being a sailor may have died elsewhere other than in Ireland.

I am researching my great grand aunt Mabel Mayne nee Kenward and she married a Hugh McGuire at Bideford, Devon in 1904. On the Marriage Certificate He is described as a 39 year old widower, a sailor, and his father's name was Jeremiah.
Could this possibly your grandfather? I would love to know what you think.

It is in deed my grandfather and his second wife. Mabel bore a son by my grandfather and there are relatives here in Newport. I visited Appledore a couple of years back looking to see if there were any relatives of hers but failed in the few short hours we were there. I did however find her grave and left some flowers. Attached is her unmarked grave with the basket of flowers we left. Please contact (*)

This is fantastic – talk about first time lucky- I have never posted on Roots Chat before! So to have received such a wealth of information (I followed the links to your website) is quite overwhelming!
Thank you for the photo of Mabel’s final resting place how kind to take flowers. I have attached a photo of her parent’s, John & Elizabeth’s, gravestone which, like you, I took on a visit to Appledore.
I have a lot of information about the Kenwards if you are interested.

Unfortunately no photo attached. Mabel's grand daughter went to Appledore last year and was unable to find the graves even though she had visited them in the past. You need to post again before I can send you a PM but probably the best idea is to visit one of my web sites in my signature below my posts by doing a Google search for them and I can then be contacted via email from there.
