One of my families has a child registered in 1902 in the Lancaster district.
In 1911 his place of birth is given as "Dawson City, Lancs".
The father was an engine driver, and the family moved around the country quite a bit. He was born in Stok on Trent, married his Cardiff-born wife in Rutland, one child born Norfolk, one Warrington.....
With him driving engines, I suspect that they were in Carnforth, though there's no baptism at Christ Church there.
Anyone else heard of Dawson City?
