1871 Lookup DENMEAD

Hi,

Can anybody out there help me to trace a William llewellyn Denmead born approx 1861 in Weston Super Mare.  In 1881 he was in the Royal Navy aboard ship so I am hoping that the 1871 census when he would be about 10 will show him at home with his parents.

Any help much appreciated.

Everyone born Weston Super Mare except wife Elizabeth who was born Clifton Glo.

Hopefully William's marriage certificate will confirm his father's name.

Hi,

Thank you for looking this up.  It looks very hopeful as William llewellyn named his son William Samuel Denmead possibly after his father?  He also had children named Edgar, Ernest, Florence and Elizabeth!!!!!

Will look up his certificates to confirm all this.

I have loads of bits on Denmeads as I have searched for a long time for them myself I will sent you tommorow all the bits which i have if they are of any use W L Denmead married Sarah Ann Bailey 8 Jan 1889 in Emmanuel church  WSM the children were William 1890,elizabeth 1891,ernest 1892, edgar1893,florence1895,Llewelyn 1896 died 03 Jul 1916 France,Somme from cwwg site,arthur 1898,frederick all born various places Portsmouth,Berwickshire,Northumberland

Hi Jan,

Great to hear from you.  Sorry for the delay in replying and hope you are now feeling much better.  William Llewellyn Denmead and Sarah Ann Bailey were my great great grandparents.  I have got loads of information on the Baileys but none on the Denmeads.  We descend from them via William Samuel Denmead.  Any information you have would be much appreciated as I have been stuck on this line for ages!  How do you descend from them?

Hi,

William and Sarah had 9 children, the youngest was Edith born 10th of May 1901. We descend from her.
Any information on the Denmeads or Baileys would be much appreciated.

Hi Madison,

Good to hear from you.  We descend via William Samuel Denmead born 1889.  We still live near Portsmouth!  I got stuck for ages on the Denmead side but have just had a lead and got a bit further back.  With regards to the Baileys I got in touch with another descendant of Sarahs sister and gort back a bit further on that too.  How far back have you managed to get?
