I'm looking for records of my ggf. In 1861 he and his wife are in cornwall, but their first child is born in Exeter.
Stephen Henry Pearson b1811(approx) in New Mills (or Hayfield) Derby goes by either first name. His occupation would be coachman, cab-driver or coach builder/proprietor. His age and first name vary a lot on all the census records.
His wife Catherine Elizabeth Howard would only have been 19 in 1851 and I don't think they were married yet and I don't expect her to be living in Devon.
