Many thanks Macbeth & Terry, these are great. These are the only photo's I have of him as a child.
He's very ill and I've just showed him he thinks they are great.

Here's a try at the other one. If you scanned these seperately at a higher dpi (300) you would get much better results
There is not much to work on. You are allowed up to 500kb for each photo these are tiny
