I have found some Kirkcaldie's WAAAYYY back in my husband's family tree. Marjorie Kirkcaldie was born 30 Nov 1710, Newburn, Fife, to George Kirkcaldie and Katherine Lawson. George and Katherine were married in 1698 both at Leuchars and in Ceres two weeks later. Their other children were: Cicily Kirkcaldie, b. 1699 St. Andrews, James Kirkcaldie b. 1705 Anstruther-Easter, and Mary Kirkcaldie b. 1713 Newburn. I looked up births for George Kirkcaldie and the only one listed was George b.1675 Kinghorn to John Baronet Kirkcaldie and Marie Ramsay.
Boy that would be something if that was right. Anyone with ideas to research this further?
