Can anyone help me work out the name of this person(female) who was a witness to a marriage back in 1915 in Wigton, cumberland? Have been searching for a while with no luck

There is a marriage of a Guan Smith on FreeBMD, in Uttoxeter in 1882.

I have been looking through some records from the area to see if it could be similar to something else - needless to say i havnt been able to come up with anything.
I will have a look at the one you have come up with in Uttoxeter.
As far as i am aware they are not related but with it being such an usual name i just had to try and find out what i could about them.

Does look like Guan but could it have been Gwen (and writer couldn't spell it)?

Looks like Guan! Could be a strange spelling of Jan, Gwen (as aghadowey has said), Guyan (which I've actually only seen as a surname)...

There is a HUBERT GUAN SMITH age 27 in Ashton under Lyne Lancashire in the 1911 census
