Hello Annie

I wonder if you are aware of: www.lan-opc.org.uk which includes records of 2042 burials in Christ Church Accrington?

It includes William McDowell in 1848, plus another two people with the same surname living in Accrington at the time of their death.

The site continues to expand and is a enormously helpful for searching Lancashire parish records.

Good luck with your searches :)
