Kia Ora All

I would be a starter for this - why not make use of the NZSG offices in Parnell -  I am confident they would welcome us, if we asked nicely

That would be great DonL,

Send Percy Potter a PM and let him know what dates etc you would be available and where you think we should meet

Just bringing this to the top again, I recall someone suggested we try the NZSG for a meeting venue, howwever I suspect we may need someone who is a member to make the approaches and wonder if any of those interested are and could make an approach to them.

I suspect that with the normal attrition rates we may well just wind up with about half a dozen at the most and whether they are likely to put themselves out for so few is debatable..

Your thoughts would be appreciatted.

if it's an indoor place you want :) - there is always the Family History part of the Auckland Library. They have a room there that may be available.

Hi Helen,

That sounds like a good idea. May be worth checking out and we could some research at the same time ;)

Or help other RC'ers out in our group

It was sad to read in the latest NZSG magazine of the death at age 52 of the Library Family History coordinator, who had arraged these lock ups events -  so this might not be a starter until a replacement is appointed.

DonL

PS I am a member of NZSG but not a frequeent visitor to the Panmure headquarters. If no one else locally available to talk with them, I could make contact.

Yes it was very sad to read about Karen. I am also a NZSG member but have never visited the Panmure headquarters
