Thank you very much Garry, Oban TEC show no records of a James Hannah being buried inPennyfuir in 1944 and neither do the online records for Pennyfuir.

It's entirely possible that this is the James Hannah that I am looking for as his official records show he died in the hospital on the 26th of March and the death registered on the 27th of March, as it was a poor burial it may well be that it was recorded on the day of burial itself.

To let you know how helpful this has been to me it's because when James Hannah died he left three young children orphaned as his wife died in 1941. That's why it would have been a "Poor's" grave. Of the three children only one still survives and he has never know where his mother or father were laid to rest, I have already found his mother but this information will complete a family chapter and enable his details to be added to his family tree. Thank you so much, Kind Regards, Sheena.
I have checked my books and the 30th was the day of the burial not the date of death, I'm glad I've been able to help you. Garry.

Thank you so much Garry for coming to meet us at Pennyfuir on your day off! and for showing us the location of the grave, Uncle Jimmy went last weekend to visit his fathers grave for the first time, he was very impressed with how well the cemetery is kept and very happy indeed to have found his father at last. Thank you for all the time and effort that you went to on our behalf.
