Thomas Keeble aged 25, bachelor, resident of Raydon at the time, married Harriet White, 18, spinster, resident at the time at Wenham Magna, at the Independent Chapel in the District of Samford Hundred on 26 January 1848. On the marriage certificate, Harriet's father is given as Thomas White but Thomas KEEBLE's father is given as Thomas BUTCHER.
While there maybe other explanations, it seems likely that Thomas Keeble was illegitimate and his mother was a KEEBLE and his father was named BUTCHER.
From the age of 25 at the time of marriage, Thomas would appear to have been born between about 1821 to 1823.
Is there anyone who would please look up the baptism records around 1821 to 1823 for Thomas KEEBLE or Thomas BUTCHER, perhaps in Raydon and Hadleigh, or in the Bishop's Transcripts ?
