Thank you Viv for all your hard work.  I greatly appreciate your efforts.  The Byurke family has been difficult to trace.  I will just have to keep trying.  You helpled me to narrow down my search by one less WIlliam Burke! ;)
Thanks again.-Nutkin

Hi Shelley f,
Can you send me your e-mail address through the Rootschat team? My son has got copies of the censuses you wanted, they've obviously got the ages on them, which should help you in your search. We still have one copy to get for "Frank", don't know how we didn't photocopy that one, but we'll get that for you next week.
I'll get my son to send them through to you as an attachment as soon as I receive your e-mail address.
Bye for now,
Viv. ::) ::)
Hi Viv
Thanks very much for your efforts.  I'm getting excited at the prospect of what I might receive.
My email address is Moderator Deleted - please contact RootsChat with your username to get the email address

Hi

Can I take you up on your kind offer for Liverpool Look Ups

William Ferriday Evans married Eliza Alcock in Liverpool first quarter of 1868, vol 8b, page 23.   I'm after the father of both William and Eliza (don't think the mother was recorded then) together with the marriage date
and any address or profession shown.

Keeping my fingers crossed

Regards
Gerry

I'd appreciate any help you can provide me.  I live in the U.S. and the researchers for my family have seemed to have stopped researching at the first Tyner that came from England.  I don't know what kind of an effort they've made but I'd like to try and go further.

Nicholas Tyner (likely spelling then was Tiner but other variations may be Tinner, Tynes, or Tinor) was born in either 1637 (most likely) or 1650.  He supposedly came to America with five children and no wife from Liverpool.  I'd like to at least verify that he did come from Liverpool.

Please let me know if you ever find anything on Nicholas or the Tyner (Tiner?) family.  Thanks!

Hi Viv

We are both looking for a William Evans!  It's the middle name of 'Ferriday' that is proving difficult to trace.  William Ferriday Evans was born in 1844 in Liverpool and Eliza Evans (nee Alcock) born in 1845 in Mansfield.
A son, Alexander, was christened at St Peter's in 1873, so I guess William's married was in a CofE church.
I'm trying to link to the only other ' .....Ferriday Evans
I have been able to root out, a John Ferriday Evans born in 1827 in Liverpool.

Look forward to what you might find

Regards
Gerry

Hi,

Would be very grateful if you could try the 1851 census for me (I assume it's indexed!)

I am looking for John Ellis, born around 1839 (but apparently not in Civil Registration), definitely in Liverpool, and possibly in the West Derby/ Toxteth area.

Also for his wife, Janet Letitia Jones, date and place of birth unknown. Only concrete information is that she died 1880 and was buried in Toxteth Park cemetery.

It would be wonderful to find a marriage for them (eldest child born 1868), but I would have no idea which parish to start looking in.

John Ellis is a dreadful name to research in Liverpool, but I have some hopes of Janet (could also be Jenet or Jennet with a Welsh ancestry) because of her middle name.

Many thanks, and good hunting on your own tree!

Hi Viv
Thanks for looking  :)
I have just got back from holiday to find your message.

I do have the Marriage certifcate of William Butler and Bridget Laverty. Williams address is given as "116 New Henderson Street, Toxteth Park" on 12th April 1991. The only other possible address I have is one from the 1881 census "3 Robertson Street, Toxteth Park" although I have never been able to confirm that this is the correct entry.

Thanks
