Looks like fairly recent housing built there- put the address in search box then click 'create' then scroll down a bit to see map and bird's eye view.

Thanks for the link aghadowey its good to see the area as it is now, it looks like there are a few old houses there so I guess its a possibility number 16 is still there.

Did you type the full address "16 Bow Lane West, Dublin" into the site? When I did it went right to group of new housing.

Perhaps someone will be able to direct you to some old Dublin photographs which would show the area.

Hi Paul, found on the link below,it seems number 16 is
now part of a storage business, but does'nt show if
its a new building or the original.looking at the planning website for some apartments they were sited at numbers 31 to 34.there may be other apartments built along bow lane though. No luck with an image so far,
wonder if you contacted the storage business would you get further information.hope this helps.

My Dad John Doyle came from 23 Bow Lane.  He was born 1911.
His Mothers Family, the Goughs also lived there. They had a newspaper/sweet shop. The entrance to 23 was like a stable gateway into a yard with rooms on either side. The Kearn's lived next door, they raised chickens. Bow Lane west was a half rural area then where horse+carts loaded with veg +milk would stop for a rest before heading back down the Country to their own homes. They would also stop on the way up from the Country on their way to the markets.
Pals of my Dad from there included Lugs Branigan + Tom Brennan.
