« on: Monday 16 November 09 18:30 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

I am doing a one name study of the Rossiter family and am looking for information please about the parents, grandparents, siblings and children of Catherine Rossiter baptised on 6th November 1836 at St James, Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.

Parents are believed to be William Rossiter & Mary Day, who married on October 13th 1833 at Henbury, Gloucestershire.

Any information would be greatly appreciated please. TIA.

Best wishes

Hi Wozzle,

Many thanks for that.

I did not know she had married but it certainly looks like her.

Are you able to find her in the 1841/1851 censuses please?

Best wishes

Hi Wozzle,

I believe Catherine had a sister Mary Charlotte born circa 1835 baptised on February 2nd 1835 at St James, Bristol. Does that help at all?

Best wishes

Kevin

Here she is in 1841:
Bristol St Michael, Bristol Steps (No number)

William Rossiter 27 Painter Born in County
Mary      "           25                 "
Catharine "        4                   "

HO107/373/8

No sign of any siblings. Father William died in 1845 - Catharine married in Bath, 1858 - I can't locate them in 1851 yet - I'll keep looking.
