District Workhouse, Leyton *COMPLETED WITH THANKS*
« on: Sunday 15 November 09 20:46 GMT (UK) »
I have discovered one of my ancestors was living in the District Workhouse, Leyton  in the 1861 census. Does anyone know where I could find more information about this workhouse and where exactly it was?

Many thanks

http://www.workhouses.org.uk/index.html?WestHam/WestHam.shtml
This would be the West Ham Union Workhouse, built 1839-1841.
