Hiya

Did you get anyone to take a photo for you?  if you contact the Cemetery Office a member of staff can take a photo for you and either email or post it to you.  They're really busy and short-staffed at the moment, but when they have time they'll do it.

And there is a war memorial.

Hope this helps

My wife is the 2nd great granddaughter of the William Carey 1833 (Wigan) mentioned by MancsMan in a posting above.

I know from his marriage certificate that his father was Patrick, but am at a dead end regarding further progress.

Would MancsMan be willing to contact me either here or offline to give me advice on how to proceed

Thanks

Tony

I am also looking for Cornelius Carey from Manchester / Ireland.  He is my 3rd GGrandfather.  He married Ann McCain.  I have a brick wall as Im unable to find any Irish records or a marriage cert.  Any help here would be appreciated pretty please.
We must be related as William Carey 1833 (his son) is my 3rd GUncle :)

I know this is a really old thread but Im new to this and hopefully some of you are still here :)
