Thanks for all the support on this from everyone who took the time to reply and for putting me right about the dates, He may well be the younger of the two men mentioned, I have a feeling his family were connected to the railway at Gorton originally.

Phil on this thread could do with a few from Southern if you can fit any more on ya " To photograph " list  ;D

Hi MIGKY,
Thanks for the link to Phil, I don't mind as I'm in Southern quite a lot and did a project for the Machester Regiment a while ago.
regards

I would just like to thank Beannie for the photos from Southern Cemetery but it looks like these are the wrong family and are not connected to mine, I dont seem able to track my Samuel Stephens down but will keep trying.

Hi Teleman, it might be worth you paying for the full burial records next off the Manchester burial site. As you might find it hard to get some one to go on cemetery searches for you if your not sure or have the right graves to start with. I am not sure if you have any idea how big most of the council owned cemeteries are, and how hard it can be to locate graves if they still have headstone.
Good luck with your search.

Well done Beannie, very good of you to trog round the cemetery especially this time of year.
