No 8650, Cpl 4th South African Scottish; born at Seafield, Parish of Forres, 3rd May 1878; joined at Potchefstroom, Transvaal, 14th Dec 1915; served in France; wounded in right hand and right leg, at Fampoux, 12th April, 1917, and dangerously wounded in both legs and back, at Ypres, 20th August, 1917. Son of John French, Easter Greens, Drainie, Lossiemouth and Rachael Williamson or French. Occupation, police officer.
