Did you not read the link I posted for all the Nelson Family Parish records for Hull and surrounding areas...Beverley is only around 8 miles from Hull?

Sorry - yes I did see it. Thanks for all your postings.
With one or 2 exceptions the entries were all post-1700.
There could well be Hull (and York) connections, but I can't see any direct links yet. I'm still concentratiopn on making sure I have Marmaduke's father correct.
