Well ........ you could fork out £61 to Glasgow Cemeteries Office for them to search for burial places, or
if you're local, get yourself a comfy seat at the Mitchell Library and pour over Burial Records.

Have a wee look here: http://www.glasgow.gov.uk/en/Residents/Library_Services/Family_Local_History/Family_History/burialrecordsmonumentalinscriptions.htm

Quite often folk would be buried in a cemetery (or churchyard) local to where they lived, but if there was a family lair somewhere, and there was still 'space' for burials, then they could also be there.

Why not post some details of the individuals you're looking for, and you might find that graveyard wanderers will volunteer to look out for 'names' on their travels.

Good Luck!

Anne

Hello, just following on from this query.....although the folks that I am checking on are all from Glasgow......can I search this info from register house in Edinburgh? I'm disabled and know my way easily about Edinburgh but would be lost in Glasgow.

P.S. I love this site and you have all given me a new addiction! *apart from the wine::)
