hi all,
I am researching the Scally family in north Staffs. Until the 1891 census they were noted as Scully. They came form Roscommon around 1860 and stayed for a while at the transit camp near Litchfield.
Maybe your Patrick also changed his spelling?

Hi Peter,My mothers side were Scalleys,,from Roscommon,John Scalley married Hannah Leese in 1874,in Stoke on Trent....Iv'e never seen their names,down as Scully,perhaps you coild get back to me!...Geraldine.
