Hi Penderiki! Care to share your name? I lived in 37 Innisfallen from about 1944-45 until 1952. I remember Mrs. Gibneys dairy, milk & Eggs. The shop changed hands before I left to a Mrs. or Ms. "Hogg" or something like that. Ellises's shop was on the other corner. Later became Slattery's. Down from Gibney's you had familie's, I can't remember them all, but there was Kenny's, Lawless's. Accross the road, Mrs. Culhane and her son John (hope I spelled that right). The Bree's, Then Scarlett's I think, Mick Coyne, Eileen Burke & McCann's on the high step. Skip a few then Paddy Kenny, Mrs Guthrie, skip1 then Bartley's. Top John Felming and the shop.Accross the road Traynor's, Down at Lynche's shop, 72 Condon's, 75 McKeever's. Further down on high steps, Barkers or Bakers (lost a young son about 1950 in a bike accident.) On the other, Mrs. O'Hanlon (Shay the Cyclist) Butler's then Linsey's. Opposite Valentia Parade. There were Murray's There were also Mr.Mrs. Gunning Finally from my memory a family the lived in one of the two story houses at the bottom of the street ie. 1 or now live in no 12 formally Mrs. Babbs Thompson. I hope this misc. load of information, again from my memory only, can trigger off some more. Until I got a post from James Mulvey yesterday I would not have thought of 10% of this. I returned to Innisfallen in 1974 and lived there until 2002. A lot had changed at that time, but a lot was still there. Regarding Gibney's shop, every corner had a shop most of them "Off Licences" as we know them to-day.
