Hi all,
I'm looking for some help please.
According to Ancestry's transcription of the Scottish 1861 Census, 35 year old Andrew Fullerton was born in 'Listock', Ireland, c1826. Is there such a place or is this another howler of a mistranscription?
He doesn't seem to appear on the 1851 Scottish Census - so I'm thinking he must have come over from Ireland just after census was taken (30/31st March 1851).
He married Mary Ann Dunlop, also from Ireland, in Gorbals Parish, Glasgow 11th April 1852.
His parents were Robert Fullerton, born c1791 and Margaret Simpson, born c1788, both born Ireland
His grandfather was Seth Fullerton, Farmer, born c?, born Ireland. (Info from Robert's D.C.)
Thanks in advance.
Anne
