Hi Dicky    I have enquired from a friend about Birks Row.............yes apparently there was such a row. If you would like me to ask anything further I can do so as this gentleman has lived in Burstwick all his life and knew of its existence    Shella

Hi Dicky, I will tell this gentleman your grandads name and the years he lived there. The name of Medforth will still be remembered I am sure. I dont live in Burstwick but my friends live there and have  weekly contact with this gentleman. I will ask about the Medforths. I am sure you will be aware that the village suffered severe flooding, but all seems all back to near normal.   Shella

Hi Dicky, I have been to Burstwick today but I am unable to give you the information you would like.As I said before there is a resident who remembers Birks  Row, which of course has now gone and is a "ten foot" leading to the Medforths yard which is now built on. Wilf is the only remaining member of the brothers you played with.         Shella.

Hi Lucy,thanks for your repy
I am looking for any photos of Birkes row,my grand father use to live at no 7 by the old pump
I use to come down a lot to stay with him about 1945 and use to play with one of the Medford children, there was an old army truck in the yard we use to play on
My grand father was Henry Feltham and his wife was called Ellen, she died in Hull in 1946,he had a car which he kept in a garage down on the road
If you can find anything I will be very grateful,I will send you any money for postage
