Norman McCready
« on: Monday 02 November 09 14:51 GMT (UK) »
I am hoping someone can provide some information about my mother's cousin Norman McCready who was born 1913 in Bradford to Thomas McCready & Louisa Linklater who married 1911 in Aberdeen.
He also had a brother Douglas who was born 1915 in Bradford.
I am fairly certain both of them got married but have no details.
I don't know if they had any children but maybe someone knows of them.
I think they ended up living in or near Maldon hence the reason for posting in Essex. :)

Thanx this could be the right Norman as it would seem to fit with the idea they lived in Maldon

there are 3 douglas mccready marriages in england that i can see
2 in gateshead one in 1954  there is a death in gateshead of a douglas mccready in 1989 and this one was born 1933
the other marriage was in gateshead in 1976
the most likely one was the other one of the 3
this was in 1940 in spen valley, north riding yorkshire
the spouses name was margaret j. lister
of course this is pure guesswork and you would need the cert to confirm if this is your man
cattell,alcester
vickers,sulgrave

Thanx again this has given me something to work on.
It does seem that the last one in Spen Valley is the most likely one.
As you say certificates is the only way to confirm.
