supposed to be burried in the grounds of dr greys hospital elgin?

That surprises me, because I have never heard of there being a burial ground at Dr Gray's Hospital.  There are certainly no records that I know of.

The index at SP says that a Hugh Stewart, aged 62, died in Elgin in 1913. Have you checked this death certificate on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk? The age is a year or two out, but that's not unusual.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Hi Cookie3,
Sorry I cannot add to your info on the Stewarts but I'd like to point out that you're not supposed to post a full copy of the certificates online because of copyright issues.Try & scan only the relevant part that you're querying/debating & that should be ok.There are topics on this subject on rootschat!

Hi cookie,
I dont know if your confused or me? you say in 1 of your other posts that hugh had a brother james and now your saying you didn't know hugh had a brother james. Have I been looking at the wrong hugh? The 1 I found was 62 no age for james.
Dottie.
