Having been away from Roots for a while the receipt of the email shocked me.

Never having had direct contact with Christopher did not diminish the respect I had/have for his knowledge and postings to the boards to others in search of their elusive ancestors.

May he now be at peace, having helped and guided so many.

 :'( How very sad and shocking to hear of Christopher's death and in such sad circumstances, Isn't it sad that someone like that can die completely alone?

He has certainly helped me in the past giving me ideas of where to look for my impossible Irish connections.

He will be sadly missed, may he be at peace

I have been away from rootschat for a while but felt I must visit when I heard the sad news about Christopher.

Goodnight "UNCLE" Chris - so glad I had chance to meet you and put a face to the name! Who will I argue with now?  :(

Have only learnt the sad news now.  Rest in Gods peace and love Christopher.  He was a kind helpfulperson, through his geneaology work brought a lot of happiness to those searching fortheir 'roots'  Yes indeed he will be sorely missed.
