Shocked and saddened to hear of Christopher's passing and the circumstances.
He was a big part of the Rootschat family and a great 'link' man in the chain.
Agree with other comments, also he did such a grand job trying to offer some response to old unanswered posts lately.
Bless and R.I.P.

Oh dear, how sad.  I never met him but feel I know him through his invaluable help with Irish ancestry. Sleep well Christopher in the knowledge that you did more than your share to further this funny old hobby of ours, Family History.  Will raise a glass or two to you next St Pat's day and the first chance I get to have a Guinness when I finally get to visit Ireland will be a salute to you.

R.I.P Christopher and as the late Dave Allen used to say I hope you were in Heaven half an hour before the Devil knew you were gone.

You are surely missed by all of us. I know that I will miss your Postings.

That is really such sad news. He was a major contributor to RootsChat.
RIP Christopher.

Christopher you will be greatly missed.  A truly interesting personality, the perfect mix of an old curmungeon and consummate gentleman when a comment made or ommitted shook your sensibilities.

The lack of a sign off on a message was something you found bewildering so I will end with

Respectfully yours,
dollylee
