So saddened to hear this, I didn't have many dealings with him personally but I certainly knew the green hat and have used his links and info.  He was an invaluable member of RC and will be sorely missed.  Rest in peace

I'm sorry to hear of Christophers death

His wit and help over the years will be missed by us all so I hope he is catching up with all of his ancestors and enjoying a good pint and gossip on the other side

Lets all raise a drink and praise his memory - rest in peace dear friend

Willow xx

Very sorry to hear this.  I haven't been active on RC for some time, but I know how close some of the relationships here are.
However to die alone and to not have any family around you is a very sad affair.  For the people who have to sort out your affairs who don't even know if you have family or not, it's also very distressing.

As usual it's good to see so many fellow RC members taking the time to say farwell to an old friend.

Farewell Christopher, Rest In Peace in a happier place.

Tony
I am researching the following families:
Hurst / Payne - Leicestershire / Warwickshire / Worcestershire
Toon(e) - Leicestershire
Batchelor / Foster - Warwickshire / Northamptonshire
Hardy - Dorset

My web site has the family tree showing.  I am researching primarily the Payne, Hurst, Foster and Batchelor lines in the Midlands.

Thanks for the information on Christophers passing. It is a very sad occassion but I suspect he would prefer us to celebrate his life. He was the first one to try and help me with my elusive Irish Reids. Despite his best  efforts I haven't got far.
We will all miss his help and wise information

R.I.P Christopher.

I've already posted a message for Christopher ... but I'd like to thank Pentio and Les, for letting us all know.  Much appreciated.
